A master's dissertation in the College of Science, University of Basrah on implementing of some immunological tests for the purpose of early diagnosis of stroke and heart infections by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Suaad Abbas Lafta. The dissertation aimed at assessing the role of a group of cardiac and inflammatory biomarkers in predicting and diagnosing coronary artery disease. The dissertation reviewed the molecular detection of Chlamydia pneumoniae bacteria by PCR technique and its role in the development of atherosclerosis, which is the underlying cause of coronary artery disease. The dissertation concluded that cardiac and inflammatory biomarkers have a role in diagnosis. The dissertation recommended the necessity of studying heart enzymes and their role in early diagnosis, as well as adopting these tests periodically and routinely at early ages to monitor heart health, as is the case in diabetes and fat analyzes.
