During a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Abdul Majeed Bin Amara, as part of the ongoing preparations for the reopening of the Federation’s headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the two sides highlighted the procedural and technical preparations for the reopening of the headquarters and the coordination of efforts with Iraqi universities to activate the Federation's role in supporting Arab research projects and enhancing academic cooperation.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that the return of the Federation's headquarters to Baghdad represents a strategic milestone that reflects the growing confidence in the role of Iraq and its academic institutions in leading scientific initiatives and activating joint Arab action in the fields of science, technology and innovation. 

His Excellency demonstrated that the Ministry is continuing to provide all the necessary requirements for the success of this distinguished event.

For his part, Dr. Abdul Majeed Bin Amara praised the great support provided by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi, in terms of logistical and institutional attention, which inaugurates a new phase of Arab research integration, starting from Baghdad.

It’s worth to be mentioned that the inauguration of the Union's headquarters will be on Friday, May 16th, 2025, as well as the Inauguration Will be attended by Arab and international academic figures, on the sidelines of the fifth session of the Economic and Social Development Summit, hosted by the capital, Baghdad.
