College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the organic preparation and characterization of some heterocyclic compounds and compared their biological properties as antioxidants and liver cancer fighters by the postgraduate student, Mr. Adel Jassim Kokaz.
The thesis aimed at preparing new fused and
unfused heterocyclic compounds (pyrazole, pyrazolone, and oxadiazole
derivatives), given their importance in the fields of medicine and pharmacy,
particularly in the preparation of azo compounds.
The thesis demonstrated that the prepared
compounds possess high molecular weights and high melting points, making them
relatively stable, furthermore, the molecular structures of the prepared
compounds were confirmed through infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance
imaging.
