College of Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah was selected as a test center of obtaining fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology, Dean of the College, Dr. Aqeel Al-Barqawi said.
Dr. Al-Barqawi added that the ophthalmologist who passes the exam will be awarded by FICO Fellowship which is awarded after passing the test that follows four years of advanced surgical training in eye surgery and qualified himher directly to the final test of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Dr. Al-Barqawi mentioned that the fellowship was originally created to qualify surgeons in Britain and Ireland, and a number of approved and recognized centers outside Britain.
