Center for Continuing Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah held a symposium on rationalizing electricity and reducing consumption.
The symposium, in which a number of employees and faculty members participated, reviewed the concept of electric power, ways of rationalization via using (LED), sensors (PHOTOCELL, MOTIONSENSOR) and renewable energy sources (solar energy, wind energy) and methods of use of modern cooling systems.
The symposium also reviewed the mechanisms of reducing the consumption of electricity, adhering importance to the rules and regulations and using of low-voltage electrical devices and energy-saving lamps.
The symposium recommended conducting advertising campaigns on the rationalization of energy consumption among citizens via different media and communication means and benefiting from the scientific researches in the fields of energy efficiency technology.
