His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi honored the female researchers who won the Iraqi Female Researcher Award, which is dedicated to scientific research published within the Q1 of international journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.

Dr. Al-Aboudi praised the qualitative level of female participation in the field of pure sciences.

His Excellency said that honoring female researchers within the framework of the award, which is organized by the Department of Research and Development and reviewed by a specialized Ministerial committee. 

Dr. Al-Aboudi added that the award includes granting each winning researcher a letter of appreciation and three million dinars, representing a commitment by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to strengthen the role of academic women in contributing effectively to the global scientific publishing system.

His Excellency emphasized that the Ministry and its institutions operate within a strategic vision based on the axes of developing scientific research and stimulating the innovation environment.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that intensifying scientific research fields and expanding its specialized tracks contributes to achieve tangible progress in addressing development challenges.

For their part, the winners, in the presence of the Director General of the Research and Development, Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, expressed their deep appreciation for the interest shown by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi in strengthening the position of Iraqi female researchers on the global scientific research and publishing map.
