During honoring Universities of Baghdad and Kufa for obtaining advanced international ranks within the QS, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa confirmed that the educational institutions set mechanisms to achieve their plans to achieve advanced levels in the university international ranking. Dr. Al-Esa said that the university international ranking is considered as a positive indicator of measuring the development and quality of the educational institutions and the universities are keen on adopting the required criteria of the ranking bodies in order to achieve top rankging and His Excellency added that the Ministry adopted national crater to meet the international standards in order to be the initiation to enter the competence in the university international ranking competitions. Dr. Al-Esa mentioned that the achieved top rankings of the Universities of Baghdad and Kufa in the QS is a distinctive sign of the entering of the national universities in the framework of the international competition via adopting the academic quality standards. It is worth mentioning that the ceremony witnessed honoring the wining Universities of Baghdad and Kufa and reviewing the possibility of providing support and needs to achieve progress in the public and private universities in the international ranking.
