College of Agriculture, University of Misan organized a symposium on using of insect pheromones in the integrated management of agricultural pests by the faculty member, Dr. Ali Hassan Harfash. The symposium reviewed insect pheromones and their most important areas of use. The symposium highlighted agricultural pest control to the importance of using insect pheromones to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and their residues in human food. The symposium recommended keeping pace with the development in the field of integrated agricultural pest management and the importance of using insect pheromones to reduce the use of chemical pesticides to protect the environment from pollution.
