Thi-Qar University’s Master’s Dissertation on Measurement of Heavy Metal Concentrations in Human Organs Affected By Cancer

College of Education for Pure Sciences, Thi-Qar University discussed a master dissertation on the measurement of heavy metal concentrations in some human organs affected by cancer in Thi-Qar Governorate by the postgraduate student, Mr. Fadhel Abbas Saleh.

The dissertation aimed at measuring the levels of heavy metal concentrations in infected and healthy human tissues, studying tissue differences and analyzing the relation between elevated concentrations of these elements and the development of cancerous tumors.

 

The dissertation included an analysis of the concentrations of several heavy metals in samples of living tissue taken from cancerous and healthy organs.

 

The dissertation demonstrated that heavy metals are among the most dangerous environmental pollutants that directly impact human health, furthermore, the concentrations of these elements in cancerous tissues were significantly higher than those in healthy tissues, as well as confirming their potential role in the development of malignant tumors.
