Al-Mustansiriyah University: On Cancer’s Chemotherapy

Iraqi Center for Genetics and Cancer Research, University of Al-Mustansiriyah delivered a lecture on chemotherapy for cancer.

The lecture, in which a number of researchers, postgraduates and doctors participated, reviewed the various types of chemotherapy to fight various types of cancer, doses of treatment according to the treatment plan and methods of treatment including tablets, intravenous direct injection in the blood stream and injections in the muscle or subcutaneous.

The lecture reviewed the side effects of chemotherapy such as destroying the healthy cells of the body, weakening the immune system, increasing the risk of infection, feeling tired, nausea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, hair loss and infertility.
