College of Medicine, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized a symposium on the latest developments in the treatment of kidney stones and ureters
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, delivered a lecture on kidney stones, diagnosis, methods of treatment, modern treatment levels, latest developments and modern devices which are implemented in the field of the urology surgery.
The symposium mentioned implementing in removing stones, methods of treating high proportion of acids in the blood and addressing the issue of removing 5mm stone.
The symposium reviewed that the most complicated types of stones are the calcium stones, which are treated with medicines saturated with citrate ions and ESWL fragmentation waves, as well as removing the stones via Laparoscopic Surgery.
