College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah organized a symposium on the effect of temperature on concrete structures.
The symposium reviewed three scientific researches on thermal stresses in the installations, steel structures exposed to heat and bending due to thermal stresses in the furnace.
The symposium recommended using flat roofed ceilings better than hollow ceilings (hollow concrete stones) and implementing circular columns with bracelets when connected to the roof without corners
