During the special celebration, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi honored the researchers who won the fifth edition of the Al-Ayen Iraqi University Academic Researcher Award.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's commitment to this endeavor, which has prompted it to launch and sponsor numerous events and awards related to scientific research. 

His Excellency reviewed that the Ministry and its universities have achieved significant accomplishments in terms of influence, participation and contribution to the field of scientific research, within two tracks of advancing the global publication of research and directly serving the community and engaging with its issues and challenges.

Dr. Al-Aboudi concluded the celebration by honoring the distinguished Iraqi researchers and top researchers from Iraqi universities, as well as a number of university presidents.

His Excellency praised the efforts of those in charge of the fifth edition of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Award in Iraq, which represents an added opportunity to enrich knowledge, stimulate expertise and achieve sustainable scientific innovation.

It is worth to be mentioned that the event included delivering speeches by the President of Al-Ayen Iraqi University, Dr. Haider Abd Al-Amir Marhoon, the representative of Elsevier in the Middle East, Dr. Diaa Madhat and the representative of the award-winning researchers, the Ministry Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd.
