College of Nursing, University of Karbala organized a symposium on the modern methods of treating autism.
The symposium, in which a number of specialists and researchers participated, included defining autism before the first three years of age, treatment with autism, spreading rate and reasons of autism besides diagnosis.
The symposium concluded increasing specialized governmental institutes of rehabilitation and treatment of autism and importance of the role of educational advisor and the need for an social advisor in each school, using modern techniques in teaching children's and at home to contribute reducing stress and psychological anxiety and teaching parents to deal with child and help him developing his abilities and acquiring the right skills and behavior.
