The dissertation aimed at identifying the epidemiological study to know the prevalence of cutaneous leishmaniasis in the districts and districts of Thi-Qar Governorate and the infection hotspots in these areas. The dissertation a diagnostic study using biomarkers CD68, CD1a using the IHC technique and knowing their expression in tissue samples taken from patients with leishmaniasis, which is one of the modern techniques used for the first time in determining the infection of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iraq. The dissertation confirmed the use of immunohistochemistry technique, which is one of the modern techniques in determining the infection of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iraq to measure the expression of vital parameters CD1a, CD68 on the tissue of patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis in the presence and absence of Leishmania bodies. The dissertation concluded that there were no significant differences in the blood parameters when the Leishmania dye was not used, while it showed that there is a clear significant indication and that both CD1a and CD68 proteins may encourage the development of Leishmaniasis when using the dye.
