College of Science, University of Baghdad held its 1st scientific conference for students of university studies, President of the University, Dr. Allaa Abed Al-Hussein Abed Al-Rasool said.

Dr. Al-Rasool added that the conference, in which a number of specialists and faculty members participated, aimed at giving students opportunity to highlight their talents, enhancing researches and creative skills of students, developing culture of scientific research and innovation, instilling values of scientific competition, teamwork and building bridges of scientific communication among students.

Dr. Al-Rasool that the university is working on developing researches which directly contribute in scientific and educational advancement and enhancing the values of cooperation and competition among the students of colleges via planning, developing and implementing programs that motivate contributing in serving community through participation in research and innovation projects in different fields
