President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih welcomed His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed the universities' programs. Dr. Salih expressed his confidence in Iraqi universities in performing their academic duties and supporting State’s institutions in providing the necessary expertise and skills required by the current circumstance. For his part, Dr. Abid Al-Sahib said that the universities and educational institutions passed through exceptional and urgent variables and they achieved an important percentage of their goals in coordination with world’s universities and organizations. His Excellency added that there is great eagerness among the faculty members to continue their scientific and ethical mission in building society despite the effects of the economic circumstance. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib that among the indicators of the academic presence of our Iraqi universities are their graduates in the fields of excellence in the international universities, the rise of their competition index in the approved ranking and the increase in the number of scientific researches of the faculty members and students for more than sixty-one thousand published researches in Scopus.
