During heading a workshop, Higher Education held a workshop on completing the universities’ projects via investment, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa said.

His Excellency added that the completion of projects is important for the Iraqi universities and Dr. Al-Esa mentioned that details of the financial crisis may not allow funding of those projects only via creating partnership with the private sector.

His Excellency mentioned that the federal budget of the 2017 provided an opportunity for the Ministries of Higher Education, Education and Health to cooperate with the private sector, invest buildings and projects and under completion according to instructions of the relevant authorities and with the approval of the Ministers Council.

It is worth mentioning that the Presidents of the universities and representatives expressed their optimism on the mentioned steps, which would open the horizon on the private sector and mitigate the impact of the current financial crisis.
