In cooperation with Oxford Academy of Sciences for Safety-British and ILO in the Arab States, College of Basic Education, University of Wasit organized a symposium on occupational safety in university and educational buildings.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed three axes, the first was on the concept of safety, the second was on occupational safety’s laws and the third was on occupational safety of dangers of electricity.
The symposium recommended securing the emergency exits of the buildings, installing signs to clarify the emergency exits and the civil defense phones, equipping all the corridors with fire extinguishers, maintaining them periodically, using high-quality electrical outlets and ensure that all electrical devices are switched off after leaving building.
