The faculty member in the College of Water Resources Engineering, Al-Qasim Green University, Dr. Haider Abdul Razaq published a book on how to monitor the changes and water scarcity experienced by water bodies in Iraq. The book addressed the problem of water scarcity and water bodies, monitoring of Lake of Razzaza for the period between 1990-2018, type of used data, methods of data processing and analysis, results of monitoring water area of Lake of Razzaza and future work plans of controlling water bodies and methods of management. The book highlighted implementing modern technologies, satellite images and digital processing of satellite images to monitor and assess the water areas of one of the Iraqi lakes, which showed water scarcity in the Euphrates River basin despite the floods and heavy rains that swept the country.
