A joint research team in the College of Engineering, University of Al-Mustansiriyah conducted a joint study on simulating the shape of the surface of the runoff of water over the bridge support. The joint study reviewed measuring the patterns of longitudinal velocity and the appearance of the free surface to simulate water flow (CFD) via the numerical three-dimensional model used in the laboratory, which is characterized by the flow through the open channel containing a bridge beam model. The joint study demonstrated one discharge examination (4.5 l / s) for the hole flow condition, while four discharges were tested for the coup flow condition. It is worth mentioning that the joint research team was the Dr. Shaima Abd Al-Muttalib, Dr. Sanaa Ajil and Dr. Saad Hassan Mohamed.
