Two faculty members in the College of Engineering, University of Al-Mustansiriyah, Dr. Ahmed Ramadhan Mohsin and Dr. Amir Abdullah Muhammed conducted a study on the numerical investigations of the transient flow characteristic of the axial flow pump according to CFD technique. The study, which was published in the Journal of Science, Engineering and Technology in the Scopus, reviewed the application of computational fluid dynamics technology to investigate flow field analysis to measure static pressure, axial, radial and tangential velocities and pressure analysis fluctuations in an axial pump. the study demonstrated that the pressure in the axial flow pump rises near the inlet area of the rotor to the outside of it and the area of high pressure in the outlet of the impeller decreases when the pump operates with a large mass flow, as well as the pressure fluctuations for a different point under a variety of flows that are in four bends and a similar number For rotor blades and the presence of two important regions, the first is positive and the second is negative pressure.
