A research team at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Basrah University, Dr. Ghazi Yaqoub Azzal, Dr. Suzan Abdul Jabbar Abdul Aziz and the researcher, Mr. Sajjad Salem Sooud obtained a patent on manufacturing a new, safe and inexpensive method to preserve, stabilize, stain and make slides for various parasites. The patent reviewed preparing slides used in teaching pre-graduate and postgraduate students compared to what was used of chemicals harmful to health, expensive and affect the parasite and the life of the slides is short compared to the new used method. The patent demonstrated that this method is one of the modern technologies used as an educational method via using of a safe and environmentally friendly natural material in the preparation of various types of parasites as educational slides for a long time and easy to be dealt with by researchers.
