The faculty member in the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, Dr. Saeed Fadhil Ahmed published a book entitled (Lectures on Geographical Statistics). The book, which included 197 pages, reviewed statistics, its methods and tools in geographical and social researches, which became a necessity in order to transfer these sciences from merely describing phenomena to the field of researches and applied studies that can provide better services to the community. The book demonstrated the theoretical foundations, data collection, classification, tabular presentation and graphical representation, as well as the measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion, measures of concentration and spatial dispersion and measures of relation between variables and statistical tests and modeling.
