His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail congratulated the academic family of the Universities of Baghdad and Technology for obtaining World University Ranking. Dr. Al Suhail praised the exerted efforts of the two universities and their keenness on improving the quality of performance in the educational process, which qualified them to obtain this high world ranking. His Excellency urged the Iraqi universities to exert more scientific and research efforts to keep pace with the two universities, improve the quality of performance and develop the level of educational process via applying and adopting the standards adopted locally and internationally in order to achieve advanced ranks in the future international rankings. It is worth mentioning that University of Baghdad obtained world university ranking (801-1000) out of (1396) universities of the best international universities in WUR sixteenth year of 2020 and for the second year in a row, with the participation of 1800 universities have been evaluated from 92 countries and with an increase of 138 universities compared with the last year as well as the University of Technology obtained the world university rankings this year.
