Directorate of Materials Research, merged Ministry of Science and Technology conducted a study on polymeric mixtures of silicone rubber, methyl acrylate, polyvinyl chloride and epoxy to be used as prosthetics. The study reviewed that the two polymeric mixtures reinforced with a fixed percentage of fiberglass material consisted of epoxy polymer after the addition of polyvinyl chloride material supported by 5% of fiber. The study highlighted that the mechanical properties and the reinforcing materials made of fiberglass and silicon rubber which different concentrations of polymeric methyl acrylate, supported by glass fibers were added.
