University of Information and Communication Technology organized its 1st forum of Iraqi Information Society, which coincided with World Information and Communication Society Day (WTISD), Representative of Higher Education and Director of Supervision and Scientific Education, Dr. Nabeel Hashim Al-Araji said.

Dr. Al-Araji added that the world is investing the information and communication revolution, which needs exploiting energies, ideas and scientific suggestions to benefit the community.

Dr. Al-Araji aimed at improving the information, developing the communication networks in Iraq contributing in promoting the information, communication and services provided to Iraqi community.

For his part, President of the University, Dr. Abas Mohsin Al-Bakri said that the ICT became main source of the preparing sustainable development programs in all countries and he added that holding forums is a great impetus for the development and innovation in the field of informatics.

It is worth mentioning that the forum reviewed electronic governance, investing opportunities, advisory services by the university and reviewing experiences of countries in this field.
