During a visit of the delegation of Al-Mustansiriyah University, College of Science, reviewed with the President of the Iranian Azad University, Dr. Agha Amiri in Tehran activating methods of the academic cooperation between the two universities, Dean of College, Dr. Bashar Makki Al-Issawi said. Dr. Al-Issawi added that the meeting also reviewed mechanisms of cooperation in the field of joint scientific research, mutual publishing in the journals of the two universities, joint supervision on postgraduate students and activating the visiting professor program between the two sides as well as holding joint international scientific conferences. Dr. Al-Issawi continued by saying that the delegation toured the Islamic Azad University, including a visit to College of Pharmacy, Central Library and many specialized research and nanotechnology centers in order to review the scientific laboratories for the specialties of biology, chemistry, physics ,computer and some engineering laboratories which consisted of modern equipment and advanced technologies. For his part, Dr. Amiri expressed his hope that the meeting will contribute in extending the bridges of joint scientific cooperation with the University of Al-Mustansiriyah in various academic fields. Dr. Amiri announced the donation of a modern specialized laboratory in the field of nanotechnology to the College of Science of the University.
