Center of Continues Education, University of Basra for Oil and Gas organized a workshop on the strategic planning in the oil institutions.

The workshop, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, aimed at identifying the concept of strategic planning in the work of oil institutions, steps of strategic planning and the reasons for its study and levels of preparing and implementing the integrated strategic plan.

The workshop reviewed the most important plans of the major international oil companies compared to the local oil companies, working methods of the planning departments and determining the future projects to meet the requirements of future plans and follow up their implementation.

The workshop included the annual and strategic plans for the production of crude oil and the annual and strategic plans for the production of oil products and the importance of technical and development studies in order to increase the level of work of oil institutions to ensure quality in the production process.
