During the Symposium of International Water Day, University of Diyala announced on establishing Water Research Center to address water issues.
The symposium included six axes; the first was on address issue of water, the second was on wasting water in agricultural purposes, protecting and the third was on rationalization of water in the natural plant ecosystem.
The fourth was on mitigation and adaptation measures of climate changes for water conservation, the fifth was on addressing water waste in changing environments and the last was on pricing water to reduce local water wasting.
