In cooperation with Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, Directorates of Environment and Water and Renewable Energies, merged Ministry of Science and Technology held a workshop on environmental and technological applications of wastewater treatment. The workshop highlighted environmental and technological applications that serve the projects of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali such as wastewater and industrial treatment via using membrane technology, detecting of chemical and biological contamination in food and the relation between environmental pollutants and congenital malformations and cancer. The workshop aimed at preparing environmental impact reports for agricultural, industrial and oil projects, applications of solar energy systems, irrigation of crops with renewable energies, detection of genetically modified foods and checking the reliability of halal meat.
