Iraq, Netherlands in Academic Cooperation

During a meeting with the Dutch Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Eric Strating and participating in a workshop on implementing cooperation in the fields of agriculture and water management between Iraq and Netherlands, Higher Education reviewed activating joint cooperation between Iraqi and Dutch educational institutions to achieve scientific twinning in the fields of agriculture and water management, Ministry’s Deputy for Legal and Administrative Affairs and, Dr. Hamid Khalaf said. Dr. Khalaf reviewed that the Ministry is keen on its strategy of openness via working with major international educational institutions in line with the axes of the government program. Dr. Khalaf added that Iraq is moving towards developing its economic reality via benefiting from the experiences of programs and specialized projects such as the Orange Knowledge Program to support agricultural projects and specialized water management. For his part, Mr. Strating expressed the importance of Iraq in the field of economy and agriculture, expressing his country's readiness on developing the cooperation and organizing workshops and joint conferences.
