A Ph.D. thesis was discussed in the College of Education for Women, University of Kufa on the biological activity of metallic element complexes with new azo-lip lycandates by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Muna Abbas. The thesis reviewed preparing of new organic ligands of the type (lip base) and (azo-lip base) derived from -4,3-diminobenzo-phenon, which have a biological effect, as these lycandes have different systems in terms of number and type of donor atoms Each of them. The thesis aimed at studying of the physical and chemical properties of these lycandes and their metallic complexes, and the diagnosis by available spectroscopic and analytical methods such as microanalysis of C.H. N, and recording the UV-Vis, FT-IR, Mass Spectrum and NMR spectra.
