During an official ceremony of inaugurating of an exhibition of visual artists at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi launched the Visual Space Enrichment Initiative in Iraqi Universities.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that the initiative represents an integrated cultural project that connects science and art and enhances the cultural role of universities alongside their academic missions. 

His Excellency highlighted that educational institutions should be in direct contact with their artistic present and cultural heritage.

Dr. Al-Aboudi directed universities to acquire between 25 and 50 works of art and instructed the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus to utilize this initiative within the criteria of strength and differentiation in the Iraqi university rankings. 

His Excellency added that the Ministry held a series of specialized meetings and workshops with the Iraqi Artists Syndicate and the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad to engage cultural and artistic institutions in this qualitative step.

During following the tour of the exhibition halls and events hosted by the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that the initiative seeks to make the university campus a reflection of Iraq's artistic identity and open horizons for unleashing the potential for excellence and creativity in an integrated scientific and cultural environment.
