His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inaugurated the second edition of the Iraq Education 2025 Conference,




Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that what has been achieved in the higher education and scientific research environment over the past three years has not merely been procedural steps, but rather represents a profound transformation in the philosophy of university education, bringing Iraqi universities to international recognition and placing them at the heart of the global academic map.




His Excellency said that Iraqi academic institutions have entered a new phase of achievement and leadership, in which the rich scientific legacy of Iraqi universities is integrated with the future vision and its requirements.




Dr. Al-Aboudi added that Iraq is moving forward to transform its higher education into a platform for innovation and internationalization, attracting students from various countries, bringing together researchers from various disciplines, and engaging with knowledge in an integrated global space.




His Excellency called on continuing expansion of positive and productive partnerships with international partners, so that Iraqi universities can become an active and influential part of the global academic system, having secured advanced positions in international rankings and established their presence in respected global research institutions.
























It is worth to be mentioned that the Conference was attended by a representative of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Mr. Nick Davis, Vice President of Clarivate, Mr. Sharif Ali Al-Shami, as well as a representative of the Elsevier Foundation, Dr. Diaa Medhat, a consultant to the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, Dr. Ola Lawrence and a representative of the QS World University Rankings Dr. Talal Youssef, senior staff, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Presidents of public and private universities, deans of colleges and representatives of diplomatic missions.
