The faculty member in the College of Law, University of Al-Nahrain, Dr. Anwar Shenawi Diab organized an online workshop on Corona derived words in the Arabic Language. The online workshop demonstrated the ability of the Arabic language to accommodate the new word, contemporaneous requirements and disrupting of implementing the new idiom of Corona Virus in Arabic and English. The online workshop delivered a lecture reviewed focusing on in the names of diseases and epidemics in parallel with addressing them, because of the existence of political, economic and social dimensions in implementing of terms, where a number terms were launched more than one in the English language as well as the disorder of the Arabic naming in describing the virus, the stages evolution of the virus and naming each stage with a special name. The online workshop highlighted the difference in the words (outbreaks / epidemics / pandemics), the difference between them and emphasizing on using only the term pandemic that completely identical to the symptoms of Corona virus based on the linguistic heritage that was linked exclusively to a heavenly pest and may be used whether anyone thinks that there is a celestial intervention to spread the virus or not.
