During the inauguration conference, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inaugurated the Colleges of Engineering, Law and Administration and Economics at Al-Karkh University of Science as part of the university infrastructure development plan and the enhancement of the academic services environment.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research established 52 colleges, 192 departments and 70 branches across various specialties and fields over the past three years. 

His Excellency said that these steps are part of the strategic vision to increase the capacity of Iraqi universities in preparation for accommodating more than one million students by 2030.

Dr. Al-Aboudi added that Iraqi universities have become an active part of the global scientific landscape, and that this qualitative academic expansion to strengthen their international presence and bolster their standing in the fields of education, scientific research and innovation.

His Excellency commended the efforts made in completing the projects according to the approved standards and timelines, emphasizing that these added achievements meet developmental requirements and provide an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with labor market demands.

It is significant to mention that the newly constructed college buildings include modern classrooms, high-quality laboratories and comprehensive scientific libraries, as well as university services and facilities that support teaching, learning and scientific research to enhance the quality of the academic environment at Al-Karkh University of Science.
