Department of Atmospheric Sciences in the College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah inaugurated an online educational platform (ASD) via Zoom Application, President of the University, Dr. Hameed Fadhil Al-Temimi said. Dr. Al-Temimi added that the e-learning platform was created in light of the current challenges and what the country is witnessing as a result of the Corona Virus. Dr. Al-Temimi reviewed that the faculty members responsibility towards establishing the e-learning experience, which would lead effectively to the success of this experiment Dr. Al-Temimi said that the university is keen on supporting all ideas and initiatives that contribute to overcoming the obstacles facing students and working to provide an appropriate educational environment to the requirements of preserving the elements of scientific sobriety. For his part, University’ Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Dhyia Al-Hassani reviewed the importance of investing the e-learning experience, especially in its modern educational trend followed in many developed countries because of its advanced technical features, announcing on (Online E-Learning Portal) in the official university website to include all activities of e-learning, workshops, symposiums and lectures. For his part, Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Faraj Shathir praised the efforts of employees of the Air Sciences Department in keeping pace with latest scientific developments to serve pre-graduate and postgraduate students as well as implementing platforms for the other scientific departments. For his part, Head of Department, Dr. Hazem Hemmoud Hussein highlighted that platform is working on providing advanced services in the field of e-learning via gathering all electronic researches and video lectures in one accessible source as well as maintaining communication between the faculty members and students in simulating regular lessons times, the ability to monitor attendance and interact with lectures.
