During the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inaugurated the College of Nursing at Mustansiriyah University, as well as affirming the continuation of the development of medical and health education institutions in Iraq and strengthening of achievements within the framework of international academic accreditation.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the establishment of the College of Nursing is part of a strategy to develop medical and health education programs and prepare qualified personnel with the scientific competence and professional skills required to meet the needs of the healthcare labor market in accordance with specialized international quality standards.

His Excellency added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities are working regularly to update and develop academic and applied programs to strengthen the health sector and enhance the skills of professional personnel in the fields of nursing and healthcare. 

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the qualitative developments during his three years in office are clear evidence of a serious commitment to keep pace with evolving knowledge and developmental requirements.

It is significant to mention that attended by university presidents, the head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, the head of the Iraqi Nursing Syndicate, the head of the Deans of Nursing Colleges Committee and several college deans.
