College of Medicine, University of Babylon held a symposium on osteoporosis of children with thalassemia.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed diagnosing osteoporosis via using the Dexa scan, its mechanism of application and its limitations in children as well as the clinical symptoms and signs of the disease represented by joint pain, bone and sudden fractures.
