His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa represented Iraqi Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-Abbadi and inaugurated Baghdad International Book Fair.

Dr. Al-Esa said that the fair is a message which is saying that the war and terrorists did not prevent Iraq of being in the front of the field of culture and His Excellency on behalf of PM expressed his wishes to success the fair which came with the spring celebration and the victories of Iraqi forces in Mosul.

His Excellency added that the Iraqi Government is keen on focusing on the importance of the academic and cultural aspect as a victory of the science field against ignorance desire of Daaish and Dr. Al-Esa confirmed on that the book will remain the important window for the intellectuals to see the knowledge, sciences and cultures.

His Excellency called on universities, faculty members and students to visit the fair and to review the latest works in order to keep pace with the scientific development in all fields.

It is worth mentioning that His Excellency reviewed the local, Arab and foreign publishing houses, in which participated via thousands of publications in different fields of knowledge.
