His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa reviewed with French Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Mark Barretti developing academic cooperation via activating MOUs.
His Excellency said that the Ministry is keen on developing academic cooperation between Iraqi universities with their French counterparts, especially in the medical, engineering, renewable energies and law fields as well as providing medical training in some medical specialties in the French hospitals.
Dr. Al-Esa added that the Ministry in working on developing the scientific cooperation with the international recognized universities in order to benefit from their experiences for the Iraqi universities to obtain development in all fields.
For his part, Mr. Barretti expressed France's readiness to provide support to success the Ministry's plans in developing its academic graduates and provide scholarships in some specialties that Iraq needs.
