College of Political Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah held an online workshop on the world’s methods of managing the Corona Virus crisis via application (Google classroom), the faculty member in the college, Mrs. Suhair Shaker Siddeeq said. Mrs. Siddeeq added that the online workshop, in which a number of researchers, faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed the various methods of the world’s countries in addressing Corona virus and managing the crisis according to the available capabilities, especially since this pandemic has become one of the most dangerous common crises that faced the world in the modern era, after spreading in about (200) countries. Mrs. Siddeeq continued saying that the online workshop also reviewed a review and comparison of ways to manage the Corona virus crisis in China, United States of America, U.K, South Korea, Kenya, Turkey and Iraq in terms of rapid government response in mitigating the negative health, economic and social impacts of the crisis. Mrs. Siddeeq said that the online workshop demonstrated that the virus represents a real experience of the ability of States, Cities and their political leaders to manage crises, as the ways of responding to this crisis were differed from one country to another and some of them were powerless and frustrated in front of a small virus that is almost seen with the naked eye despite their immense physical, economic, health and scientific potential.
