College of Science، University of Anbar discussed a master dissertation on the bacteriological physiology of patients with thyroid disease by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Asmaa Youssef Abed. The dissertation aimed at focusing on some physiological and biochemical variables affected by thyroid disorders and studying the bacterial infection that causes thyroiditis. The dissertation demonstrated that thyroid patients in the city of Ramadi suffer from vitamin D deficiency, and hypothyroid patients suffer from obesity and anemia with a clear imbalance in blood lipids. The dissertation confirmed that the level of aricin is higher in hypothyroid patients compared to hypothyroidism, as well as the presence of many bacterial isolates that cause thyroiditis, whether Gram-positive or Gram-negative.
