During a tour to the Medical Technical College, one of the formations of the Northern Technical University in Kirkuk Governorate, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed that the Ministry took into account the needs in the plan of developments at the level of colleges and departments in universities to accommodate the increase in demand and enrollment in university institutions due to the increasing population growth index and the need for providing the required specializations. His Excellency reviewed that technical education represents an important scientific field as it provides educational opportunities that can be invested in wide sectors. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that the challenges of the current stage and the complicated health and economic conditions that accompanied it required institutions of the Ministry to open up to the universities of the world to enhance the paths of scientific cooperation, to conduct a review of study programs according to a vision that meets the scientific and technical needs in all specialties and to secure the support imposed by the requirements of sustainable development. His Excellency toured the Technical Engineering College and reviewed with its faculty members in light of the tasks undertaken by the specialized university institutions. It is worth mentioning that the tour was attended by the presidents of the Northern Technical University and the University of Kirkuk, the dean of the Medical Technical College and a number of assistants and faculty members.
