Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on that Eighty-nine Iraqi public and private universities and colleges obtained top scores in the competitive results in the Webometrics Global Ranking in the second half of 2022. Higher Education reviewed that the official website (www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq) highlighted that the University of Baghdad obtained the score (1710), University of Diyala obtained the score (1799) and University of Al-Mustansiriyah obtained the score (2578) among eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-four universities around the world. the scientist. Higher Education demonstrated that the Webometrics ranking of the Higher Center for Scientific Research in Spain, which is launched every semester is based on indicators of measuring the virtual presence of universities via their websites and indicating the percentage of clarity by (50%), transparency (by 10%) and the strength and excellence of research by (40%). It is worth mentioning that Iraqi universities and colleges obtained top scores via heir escalating competition in the international rankings, including the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, in which the University of Baghdad obtained top score within the chemical engineering specialization, (The Times) ranking in which four universities obtained the ranking, and (QS) ranking in which five universities obtained the ranking, Scimago ranking in which twenty-two institutions obtained the ranking, Greenmetric ranking in which sixty-six Iraqi universities and colleges obtained the ranking, the URAP ranking in which four Iraqi universities obtained the ranking and Webometrics ranking in which eighty-nine Iraqi universities and colleges obtained the ranking.
