During a participation in the Spain International Conference on Research and Developments Related to Alternative and Clean Energy, the faculty member in the College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah, Dr. Ali Abd Al-Hussein won the award for the best research n the conference. The research reviewed a micro-reactor device to produce biodiesel synthesis from microalgae via using dodecyl sulfonic acid as an adjunct. The research aimed at manufacturing a micro-reactor device to produce biodiesel from algae with high efficiency that can be used industrially in Iraq via using heavy water treatment plants. The conference recommended implementing all kinds of clean energy from living mass, tidal and wind energy, solar energy, solar cells and fuel cells according to the new systems presented at the conference.
